Some Everton fans on social media are very excited by the prospect of signing Daryl Dike after reports emerged linking them with a move for the striker.
The American has lit up the Championship since arriving at Barnsley netting nine goals in 21 appearances, and at the age of just 20, there’s plenty of room for improvement.
Dike is already a USA international and as you can imagine, due to Everton’s history of recruiting fantastic American players, fans were excited about this one.
One supporter even went as far as to compare Dike to Romelu Lukaku, and it has to be said that there are similarities between their styles of play.
Everton could certainly do with a bit more depth up top, and Dike, at such a young age, could prove to be a shrewd addition for years to come.
Whether or not Dike ends up coming to Goodison Park remains to be seen, and sadly for Everton, they’re not the only club in for him, but if the Toffees want to appease their fanbase, this is a deal they’ll be keen to get over the line.
