If Tottenham Hotspur sign Everton’s Ross Barkley, Moussa Sissoko may be dropped back down to the bench.

Moussa Sissoko’s resurgence at Tottenham Hotspur could be short lived, if Tottenham Hotspur bring in Ross Barkley from Everton.
And if Barkley does arrive at Spurs he will be given a central midfield role by Mauricio Pochettino.

Barkley’s arrival would, therefore, leave Sissoko fighting for his place in Spurs’ team once again.
Sissoko failed during his first season at Tottenham, but he has been much improved this time around.
The French international’s power and energy has offered Spurs a great option for much of the campaign to date.

But if Barkley signed up at Tottenham, Sissoko would surely fall down the pecking order once again – and that could be a knock to the former Newcastle United man’s confidence.
Sissoko has worked so hard to try and make a success of his time at Spurs, but Barkley’s potential arrival may mean that he will be consigned to a bench-warming role once again.
