Luke Ayling has been a hit at Leeds since a 2016 move from Bristol City so would Joe Bryan be tempted to try and achieve the same?
This was reported before the loan signing of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from Manchester United, however, who will now be competing with Gaetano Berardi for a place on the left side of defence.

That said, the Whites options in defence are still a little flimsy and with only three centre-backs on the books currently, Luke Ayling could be pushed to the middle, with Berardi coming across to right-back and Bryan filling in on the left. Basically, versatility could be key.
And it is Ayling that could be one of the main reasons behind Bryan being convinced by the switch from Ashton Gate to Elland Road, with the 25-year-old having made the same move last summer.
After two years with the Robins, the former Yeovil Town man was an immediate hit with Leeds in 2016/17 and played 44 times in all competitions as the Yorkshire club finished just outside the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Bryan was playing his part in keeping City in the Championship and despite the Bristol side’s struggles, was recognised as one of their standout performers.
Despite currently topping the table after a 3-1 opening day victory over Barnsley, Lee Johnson’s men are expected to struggle again in 2017/18 and are currently 7/1 with Sky Bet to get relegated this term.
Although Bryan came through the ranks for the Robins and to date has played 182 times for them, at 23-years-old and after seeing the success of Ayling he may well be tempted by a move north to try and further his career.
