West Ham United have reportedly made Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud their top strike target this summer.

According to a report in Le10 Sport, Arsenal may use Olivier Giroud in a bid to attempt to bring Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are desperate to add a new striker to their ranks this summer, with Lacazette near the top of Arsene Wenger’s wishlist.

And Giroud could be sacrificed, as the Gunners attempt to make an acceptable offer to Lyon.

That could be bad news for West Ham United, who are thought to be trying to sign Giroud (London Evening Standard).

West Ham have been strongly linked with the 30-year-old froward in recent times, with Slaven Bilic’s side said to be willing to offer the forward £100,000-a-week to sign up at the London Stadium.

However, West Ham could be kept waiting if Arsenal do want to use him to sign Lacazette.

Arsenal will not want to jeopardise their chances of landing Lacazette, meaning Bilic’s side may have to wait for that transfer saga to play out, before having a chance at landing their top strike-target.
