Dean Smith appears to have big plans to change up Aston Villa’s attack this summer.

Villa have seen one bid rejected for Benrahma, but could increase their offer before the start of the season.
With Mahmoud Trezeguet already signed, and Anwar El Ghazi’s loan move also made permanent, Villa would have very strong options down the wings if Benrahma does arrive.
It may now just point towards a potential departure for Andre Green.
Dean Smith is a big fan of Green, and recalled him from loan at Portsmouth to play him in Villa’s team, at the earliest possible chance after taking over.

However, if Villa have Benrahma, Trezeguet, El Ghazi and Jonathan Kodjia all at the club to compete for places down the wing it is hard to see where Green fits in.
The last thing Smith will want is for Green to stagnate, after proving that he was ready to play Championship football last term.
And it could be that Villa look to move Green out on loan before the end of the transfer window, to aid his development.
