Liverpool midfielder could be ideal for West Bromwich Albion in January.
The future of Lucas Leiva at Anfield remains unclear, with Inter Milan reportedly keen on bringing the Brazilian to the San Siro in January, according to the Daily Star.
With no move set in stone as yet though, the Baggies should consider entering the race for the 29-year-old, with Tony Pulis said to be in the market to bolster his midfield options.
The West Brom boss is renowned for his organisational skills, in setting his team up to be defensively solid.
This is underlined by his preference of having both Darren Fletcher and Claudio Yacob pinning the centre of his midfield in a double pivot.

The pair have started the Baggies’ last nine games together, and after such a busy period of fixtures, strengthening in that deep-lying midfield role will surely be one of Pulis’ priorities in January.
And Lucas would seemingly be the ideal player to come into the West Brom side, with all his attributes being perfectly suited to everything that the Baggies manager demands.
The 29-year-old’s versatility is also something that would most definitely appeal to Pulis, with the Brazilian equally as comfortable playing in the centre of defence as he is in midfield.

He is also a tenacious tackler, and his passion and commitment to the cause would see him slot seamlessly into the West Brom side.
And with Lucas’ contract at Anfield due to expire in the summer, the Baggies could seriously test Liverpool’s resolve with a bid this month.
