Could Mauricio Pochettino create the a similar legacy at Tottenham to what Sir Alex Ferguson did at Manchester United?

Mauricio Pochettino has been receiving plenty of plaudits after his Tottenham Hotspur side drew 1-1 with Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League.
Spurs sit level with Madrid at the top of their group and having also achieved the most points in the Premier League over the past two seasons combined, many are naming Pochettino among the best managers in Europe.
It is a little over three years since the Argentine made the switch to North London from Southampton, but despite the high turnover of bosses in the English top flight it doesn’t seem like the 45-year-old is going anywhere else soon.

“I am very happy in Tottenham. I would love to stay 10 or 15 years here,” Pochettino was quoted by the Telegraph.
“It’s always up to the owner or chairman to decide if you’re a manager for a short time or long period. If he wants, I would like to sign that contract.”
This should be music to the ears of club chairman Daniel Levy, who himself voiced his wishes for Pochettino to be at the helm at Tottenham for at least the next decade.

Long-term tenures, or legacies, such as those enjoyed by Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, Arsene Wenger currently at Arsenal or even David Moyes’ 11 years at Everton are few and far between but could there be the potential for one in this scenario?
Between Pochettino and Levy they are building something for the long-term while also enjoying success in the here and now, with a new stadium on the way, regularly playing at the top table of European football and academy products being consistently blooded in the first team.
The South American will need to be assured of backing from the hierarchy, but so far that has been the case, and perhaps this could simply just be the start of a long and successful stint in the blueprint of Ferguson.
