According to Sky Sports, the left-back has arrived in England to undergo a medical with the Championship club.
De Bock is a highly rated left-back who has been on the books of Brugge since 2013 and has won the league title once – in 2015-16.
The former Belgium Under-21 international, though, has made only six appearances for Ivan Leko’s side so far this season, according to Sky Sports.
Leeds need an established left-back in order to have a successful season in the second half of the 2017-18 campaign, and many fans of the West Yorkshire club are already looking forward to the arrival of De Bock.
As recently reported by HITC Sport, Leeds fans have shared their optimism about the former Lokeren defender on social networking site Twitter.
The Whites supporters will be even more excited at the prospect of seeing De Bock in a Leeds shirt by the following comments from Club Brugge assistant coach Rudi Cossey.
According to Leeds Live, Cossey made these remarks back in November 2012 when he was the assistant coach of Lokeren – De Bock’s club at the time – and when there was suggestion that the defender could move to England: “For us, it has been clear for a long time that he will end up at a top club.”
Cossey clearly had faith in De Bock and his prediction is about to come true, as the left-back is set to join a top club in Leeds.
