West Ham United manager David Moyes is seeking to improve his squad this month and one player who could make the switch to London Stadium is Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin.

The Frenchman has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal and could join West Ham for around £10 million, as reported by The Mirror.

Coquelin, who possesses a vast amount of Premier League experience, would represent a good signing for West Ham and would provide them with some much-needed steel in midfield.

However, even if West Ham did secure a deal for the 26-year-old they would still have another issue to address with regards to their midfield as they remain in need of a creative player.

With Mark Noble in decline, West Ham must act to bring in a quality creative midfielder this month as failure to do so could prove rather costly.

West Ham have improved under Moyes’ guidance and are in 15th place in the Premier League, but they still have much work to do in order to preserve their top flight status and their transfer activity this month could be key in determining whether or not they stay up.
