Leeds United snapped a bad run of form on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Bristol City 3-0 at Ashton Gate, handing Thomas Christiansen a major boost.
The Whites had lost three of their previous four games before heading to Ashton Gate, with manager Christiansen desperately needing a result to prevent a slump from becoming a crisis.
After switching to a 4-3-3 system, featuring three midfielders in Eunan O’Kane, Kalvin Phillips and the returning Ronaldo Vieira, Christiansen got the exact result he wanted with a 3-0 win.

Samu Saiz, who started on the left of a front three, opened the scoring with a deflected strike, and the Spaniard then made it 2-0 by smashing home a loose ball from close range.
In the second half, striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga headed in a third for Leeds, and whilst Robins striker Matty Taylor and Leeds full back Gaetano Berardi were both sent off, the Whites held on for the win.
After some disappointing performances, Leeds were back to their best at Ashton Gate, and players took to Twitter after the final whistle to send messages to fans.

Luke Ayling praised Leeds fans for their support, whilst striker Lasogga posted a photo alongside Ayling as he celebrated the victory, with winger Hadi Sacho also hailing the ‘unbelievable support’ at Ashton Gate.
Defender Liam Cooper had special praise for two-goal hero Saiz, claiming he was on fire on Saturday, whilst Eunan O’Kane, Ezgjan Alioski, Kalvin Phillips and Ronaldo Vieira also offered their reactions to a superb victory.
