Nottingham Forest have been by far and away the most active team in the transfer window this summer, and somehow, they’re not done yet.

Indeed, Forest have made no fewer than 18 new signings this summer, and more could be on the way.

Moussa Niakhate’s injury has left the Tricky Trees scrambling for a new centre-back, and that will be the Reds’ priority on the final day of the transfer window, while there’s also a lack of depth at right-wing-back.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Nottingham Forest’s potential post-Deadline Day starting XI.

It’s tough to predict Forest’s best XI after their flurry of summer signings, but this is what we’ve gone with.

Willy Boly is the centre-back that seems most likely to sign for Forest on deadline day with a deal reportedly agreed with Wolves for the Ivorian, so he slots into the heart of the defence alongside Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna.

Other than Boly, Serge Aurier is also likely to come in after reportedly being penned in for a medical earlier this week.

Aurier starts in our team for presentation purposes, but Neco Williams is likely to be the starting wing-back on that side for the majority of the season.

It’s tough to predict this midfield, but we have Remo Freuler and Lewis O’Brien starting in our team, just behind Morgan Gibbs-White who starts ahead of Jesse Lingard.

Emmanuel Dennis and Brennan Johnson start up top head of the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi and Sam Surridge, but there’s likely to be a huge amount of rotation throughout this team.
