Some Aston Villa fans have been reacting after Ollie Watkins was named in the latest England squad.
Watkins is becoming a regular for the Three Lions under Gareth Southgate, and after a remarkable debut Premier League season, it’s fair to say he deserves it.
However, some Aston Villa fans don’t quite see things in the same way.
Indeed, while Watkins is a fan favourite at Villa Park, supporters of the Midlands club seem to believe that Danny Ings deserved the nod over Watkins.
To be fair, they’ve got a point. Watkins hasn’t had the best of starts this season, failing to score a single Premier League goal, while Ings has netted twice, including a spectacular bicycle kick last month.
Regardless, as a Villa fan, it must be great to see that you have two strikers who are both genuine candidates to play for England.
