Alessandro Del Piero has dismissed the possibility of Antonio Conte returning to Juventus, for now, but thinks ‘controversy’ is headed Tottenham Hotspur’s way, as he told ESPN.
The Italy legend stated that the last thing Juventus are thinking about is bringing Conte back, amid their struggles in Serie A and also getting knocked out of the Champions League.
But Del Piero did add, for Tottenham, this is around the time of year, with the transfer window looming, where a different side of Conte might showcase himself.

That’s probably the former Premier League title winner wanting new players during the winter transfer window – he did get backed last January and in the summer.
Therefore, there’s no reason why Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis shouldn’t back him again, especially given that they have made the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Nonetheless, when Del Piero was asked about his former coach’s future and his possible return to Turin, this was his response.
“I think Juve has a lot of things to think and the last one they want to think, is the return of Conte,” said Del Piero. “I know Antonio very well.
“Certain parts of the year, it’s going to be in January as well, probably, some controversial situations are going to happen. This is his way to manage the team. Either you like it or you don’t like it. It’s very demanding and straightforward.
“It happened last year with Tottenham that they managed and he managed to step back. His future in Italy, there’s not a lot of talking about that.”

WILL CONTE EXTEND HIS STAY?
Whenever there has been talk of Conte being backed in the transfer market, the money has been put on the table for him to bring in the players he wants.
As a result of all of that, the north London club have progressed, returned to the Champions League and now reached the knockout stages of the competition.
Therefore, it has to be questioned why he hasn’t signed a new deal at Hotspur Way because it’s not like promises haven’t been met by those upstairs.
