Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Liverpool’s game against Tottenham this weekend.

The Arsenal legend was doing his weekly predictions, and while he’s tipped the Reds to get the better of Spurs, he’s admitted that Tottenham could have a slight advantage over the Merseyside club.

Indeed, with the London club’s games against Rennes and Brighton postponed over the past week, Seaman believes that the extra rest Spurs will have had could give them an advantage – so long as not too many first-teamers suffered from coronavirus.

What’s Seaman said about Tottenham?

The pundit gave his view on why Spurs could have an advantage this weekend.

“The other thing as well is, at Tottenham. If not a lot of the first-team have had covid, then they might have had a lot of rest. Conte will have had a lot of time with them, getting his ideas into their heads,” Seaman said.

Not the worst timing

No club wants to have a covid outbreak, and, of course, we can only hope that everyone who tested positive hasn’t suffered from any symptoms.

However, they say that every cloud has a silver lining, and in this case, Spurs’ outbreak hasn’t come at the worst time.

Indeed, while every other Premier League team is suffered the effects of the congested festive period, Spurs have had a little break, and as Seaman says, if Spurs’ players aren’t suffered the after-effects of the virus, they should be raring to go for their upcoming games.
