Jamie Carragher has claimed that Antonio Conte will be ‘more cross’ with Richarlison for his showboating during Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

When Tottenham scored the second goal of the game, Richarlison decided to go on the wind-up and opted to do a few keepie-uppies when the ball rolled into his path by the touchline.

It’s fair to say that the Forest players didn’t take too kindly to his actions, with two players trying to take out Tottenham’s summer signing out, including Brennan Johnson, who was shown a yellow card.

Those actions from Richarlison sparked quite a reaction from supporters and former players after the game, with some thinking that it was disrespectful.

Regardless of what others think, one thing is for sure, the 25-year-old, if the opportunity arises itself, will do it again and again because that’s his nature.

But it’s something ex-Liverpool defender Carragher disagreed with because he thinks Richarlison could have suffered an injury and Conte would be giving him a telling off, as he told Sky Sports Premier League.

“I think his own manager Antonio Conte will be more cross with him rather than the Forest players for the actual challenges,” said Conte.

“The first thing he would say ‘why would you do that, it’s 2-0. You don’t need to get involved’. He could have got injured from the bad tackle himself.”

DON’T CHANGE RICHARLISON

At the end of the day, Richarlison is the type of player you would love to have on your team, but despise if he was on the other end.

Everton fans enjoyed his antics over the years and they probably won’t like what he plans to serve up when he returns to Goodison Park this season.

But as long as Richarlison does the talking on the field of play, he can wind up the opposition all he wants because, at the end of the day, they are his opponents, not his teammates.

Added with that, he needs also accept what comes his way if he dishes it out, he decided to keep the ball up like he was in the park against Forest and Johnson dealt with him, but he got back up and finished the game.
