Jamie Redknapp has said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:09pm, May 12, 2022) that he was shocked that Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min publicly expressed his disappointment when head coach Antonio Conte took him off against Arsenal in the North London derby.
Tottenham got the better of Arsenal 3-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
South Korea international forward Son scored in the 47th minute.
The 29-year-old has now got 21 goals in the Premier League this season, just one fewer than current top scorer, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.
There is a very good chance that Son could end up as the top scorer in the Premier League this season.
So we can understand why the Tottenham star was not pleased when Conte decided to take him off in the second half.

Sky Sports co-commentator and former Manchester United defender Gary Neville noted that Son did not look happy at the decision.
Former Tottenham midfielder and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has said that he was surprised to see Son show his disappointment so publicly.
Jamie Redknapp on Tottenham’s Son Heung-min v Arsenal
Redknapp said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:09pm, May 12, 2022): “When he took him off, I thought that he would be the sort of guy who would just run off. I wasn’t expecting that. I was actually surprised by his emotions.”
Son always seems happy and plays with a smile on his face, but we can understand why the Tottenham forward was frustrated, as he simply wanted to carry on playing.
And score more goals.
