Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is confident Oliver Skipp will perform if he earns a start in their upcoming battle against Crystal Palace.
Recently, Conte had said that he was especially impressed by Skipp in training during the World Cup.
However, a surprising report emerged that detailed that Inter Milan are ready to sign the Tottenham midfielder in January, as per CMW.
What emerged as even a bigger shock was the revelation that Conte and Co. were open to letting Skipp bid farewell to the club.
While the £49,000-a-week starlet has been on the periphery of things so far this season, there is no questioning his talent.
Yes, Oliver Skipp had suffered an injury at the start of the 2022/2023 campaign.
Even so, it has come as a surprise to see Antonio Conte hand him a mere 2 Premier League starts.
Considering Tottenham need improvements in the middle of the park in any case, it remains baffling why the 22-year-old has barely been given a look-in.
However, the ex-Chelsea tactician backs the youngster to shine on Wednesday night.
Antonio Conte backs Tottenham star Oliver Skipp to perform against Crystal Palace

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has expressed his confidence about Oliver Skipp having a top game against Crystal Palace.
“Skippy [Oliver Skipp] last season, he played for 2 or 3 months with me in a fantastic way, before he had the injury and stayed 6 months out.”
“We are talking about a young player who showed his quality. My expectation is to see him at the same level as last season.”
“I’m sure that if he starts the game [against Crystal Palace], he is going to have a great game”, Conte told the club.
Now, the onus is on Oliver Skipp to repay the faith Antonio Conte has in him against Crystal Palace, if he is handed a rare start for Tottenham Hotspur.
