In our view, Antonio Conte should try using Dejan Kulusevski, upon his return from injury in a midfield role, similar to Kevin De Bruyne at Man City to help solve the creativity problems at Tottenham Hotspur.

With Conte recently hailing Bryan Gil as a player ‘born to play football’ after his stellar showing against Crystal Palace, it’s clear to see that he now views him as an exciting option at right-wing.
Considering signing any player, let alone a creator is a challenge for all clubs in January, including Tottenham, Dejan Kulusevski could emerge as a surprisingly astute alternative to solve the club’s ongoing creativity problems.
Much like Kevin De Bruyne, Kulusevski is at his very best when fizzing crosses in from the right half-space.
Case in point, the former Juventus enigima’s pinpoint assist for Ryan Sessegnon against Southampton this season.
To the extent where the £110,000-a-week wideman is perhaps the most dangerous crosser from said position, after De Bruyne and perhaps Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Also, Dejan Kulusevski is an inverted winger, which points to how he is at his very best in central areas for Conte and Co., as opposed to hugging the touchline.
With Kulusevski himself once admitting that he idolizes De Bruyne (as quoted by the Sun), while also touching on his time as a No.10 for Atalanta, our claim isn’t as far-fetched as it may seem.
Aside from the Swede, the ex-Inter Milan boss only really has the currently injured Rodrigo Bentancur creator behind the front 3 at Tottenham Hotspur.
With Conte employing a back 3 as well, it gives his Tottenham side the license to play two creative midfielders, in both Kulusevski and Bentancur.
Not to suggest that Dejan Kulusevski is even half the midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is, but his crossing from the right half-space, his excellent ball-carrying ability while verging in and out of wide areas makes the closest thing Tottenham and Conte have to the Man City icon.
