Since Antonio Conte’s appointment as Tottenham Hotspur boss, there has been a question mark around his future.
Considering Spurs are yet to win a single piece of silverware since 2008, while the Italian boss is renowned as being a serial winner and one of the best coaches in the world, many continue to believe that he will eventually depart the club in favour of a more successful side.
With the former Inter Milan manager’s current deal set to run out in the summer, there remains a doubt about whether he will prolong his stay in North London.

Ahead of the Lilywhites’ upcoming Premier League game against Leeds United, Antonio Conte lifted the lid on his contract situation.
“You know very well that my contract expires in June. Until that moment, the club has to make the best evaluation”, he said, as quoted by Football.London.
Conte continued, “I think everything you need to deserve and it will be important to see the rest of the season and if we are happy with the improvement we are doing. I think that every situation, it’s important to deserve.”
“From my side, it’s important to see if I deserve a new contract, to sign a new contract with this club. I have to feel this. We will talk with the club and find the best solution.”
The veteran coach added, “But you know, I think when you start a path with a club, the dream is to stay here for many years and try to build something important. I think it’s very important the relationship you share with the players, the club and the environment around you.”
“Don’t forget the ambition. If you’re used to winning, it’s important to match all these situations. If you’re lucky to match all these situations, it’s easy for a coach but in modern football, it’s different.”
Ultimately, Conte hinting at signing a contract renewal is welcome news for Spurs fans, considering his undeniable track record of winning silverware.
