Tottenham are cited as a candidate to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante in the next couple of transfer windows – but surely, landing the World Cup winner and forming a reunion with Antonio Conte will infuriate Yves Bissouma.
Kante, 31, has spent the last six years at Chelsea. Signed by Antonio Conte in July 2016, Kante has gone on to win the Premier League for a second time with the Blues after his Leicester truimph. He has also won the Champions League.
But the 53-time France international is set to see his contract expire at the end of the season. French website Foot Mercato say he is under the illusion that Chelsea will not look to extend his current deal. He wants to stay in London.
So, a move to Tottenham or Arsenal is on the cards. If Spurs sign Kante, and form a reunion between the midfielder and Conte, it will be a move that delights Tottenham fans. But for Bissouma, signed from Brighton, it will be frustrating.

Tottenham landing Kante will infuriate new Spurs signing Bissouma
Tottenham signed Bissouma from Brighton. A midfielder that has been in demand, one that many think would have been a good signing for Liverpool – Stephen Warnock included. But he has been made to wait for game time at Spurs.
Featuring in eight of Tottenham’s 11 games, Bissouma started just once. He finds himself behind Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur in the pecking order, with Conte preferring to use just two midfielders in his 3-4-3 system.
The belief is that as the season progresses, Bissouma will get more of a chance. But that is, while he remains first reserve. Signing £290k-a-week Kante, who boasts similar attributes like stamina, balance and passing, blocks that.
Given he may already feel somewhat frustrated regarding his lack of game time, signing a player like him will annoy him further. Bissouma is yet to be given the chance and a run of games to show his worth. Kante ends that chance.
