Antonio Conte has seemingly called-up Jamie Donley to senior Tottenham training ahead of Saturday’s clash against Leeds United – with the 17-year-old midfielder shining for Tottenham’s Under-18 and Under-21 sides in recent weeks.
Donley, 17, is naturally an attacking midfielder or a striker. He has been regularly seen in the UEFA Youth League, which is officially an Under-19 side. Indeed, he has had a hand in three goals during five games – banned for the sixth game.
His stats in the Under-18 side are incredible. Playing 33 times for the 18’s, he has scored 21 goals, laying on six assists. Little surprise that this season, he has been promoted to the Under-23 side. He has played in 10 of 13 League games.
Now, Donley has been promoted to senior training and it might be a sign that he is in the squad against Leeds. That is, with Harry Kane starting his 21st game of the season. Sky Sports showed Donley next to Ivan Perisic in the video.

It is the least he deserves. Donley is seen as a real talent at Tottenham by fans and now clearly, by first-team coaching staff. Still only 17, he has the potential to go very far at Spurs. Already, a two-time Northern Ireland U19 international.
So much so, that Football London reporter Alasdair Gold has likened him to Kane – labelling him “very creative”. So, there is every chance that Donley might find himself on the bench alongside Matt Craig, who was also in the video.
But the chances of him getting his first-team debut remain unlikely. Richarlison was back in action at Forest, and Deki Kulusevski is fit again. Harry Kane will start. So, Donley might join the side but as a learning experience against Leeds.
