Well, speculation about Franck Kessie to Tottenham Hotspur is certainly beginning to take on momentum.
Earlier this week, Sport in Spain reported – as covered by HITC – that Spurs were now favourites to sign the Barcelona midfielder.
This is the Ivory Coast international’s first season at Camp Nou, having been linked with a transfer to Tottenham prior to joining the Primera Division giants on a Bosman last summer.
However, he is struggling for regular minutes, with the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Pedri seemingly Xavi’s midfield of choice.
As a result, the former AC Milan powerhouse – labelled ‘devastating’ by Antonio Cassano [Sempre Milan] – is being linked with an early exit.

And according to 90 Min, Tottenham have reached out.
The publication claims that the North Londoners have made contact to ask about the 25-year-old’s availability in what seems to be a clear indication that he’s admired by one of Antonio Conte or Fabio Paratici.
Thing is, the Lilywhites already have a number of Kessie-esque players, from Pierre Emile Hojbjerg to Rodrigo Bentancur.
And it remains to be seen if Conte would want another similar midfelder in the squad, when arguably the Italian manager would be wiser to pursue a creative midfielder in the Christian Eriksen mould.
Time will certainly tell.
