Sunderland snapped up defender Conor McLaughlin on Monday.

Sunderland’s new signing Conor McLaughlin has told the club’s official website that he knows the club is ‘massive’ after seeing their training facilities.
The Black Cats needed reinforcements this summer after missing out on promotion to the Championship, and another right back was needed.
Midfielder Luke O’Nien did a fine job in that role last season, but a natural right back to compete with him was an absolute must for Jack Ross.
Sunderland made a move to ease that problem on Monday, signing free agent McLaughlin after his Millwall contract expired on Sunday.
The Northern Ireland international arrives with nearly 250 Football League appearances to his name as well as more than 30 caps for his country, representing a smart signing for the Black Cats.
McLaughlin is Sunderland’s first signing of the summer, and he spoke highly about the club after penning his deal on Monday afternoon.
McLaughlin admitted the he was impressed with Sunderland’s training ground and facilities, showing just how big of a club Sunderland really are.

The 27-year-old added that he thought the Sunderland fans were great when he last visited the Stadium of Light with Millwall, meaning he knows how passionate the club’s fans are when they’re behind the team.
“Just walking around the place this morning and seeing all the facilities, you can see it’s a massive club, so I’m delighted to be here,” said McLaughlin.
“I remember we went up a couple of times in the game and both times Sunderland pulled it back. I remember the crowd was amazing and I know when the fans get behind the team it’s a great place to play. I know how passionate the fans are from the other side, but it’s going to amazing to be part of the team now,” he added.
