Conor McGregor is set to headline what’s being billed as the biggest BKFC press conference yet, taking place next week.
While he hasn’t fought in the Octagon since his leg injury against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, McGregor hasn’t faded from the combat sports spotlight. In fact, he’s become increasingly involved in bareknuckle boxing.
There’s even been speculation about a superfight between McGregor and multi-sport BKFC champion Luis Palomino – and the Irishman hasn’t ruled it out.
And now, he’s gearing up for a major promotional push.
BKFC President David Feldman has hinted at a significant announcement on the horizon, and all signs point to McGregor being right at the centre of it.
Conor McGregor set to make huge announcement at BKFC star-studded press conference

Following BKFC’s debut event in Texas, Feldman told media to expect an even bigger event – one that might be the promotion’s biggest yet.
The press conference, which is open to the public and dubbed the “Champions Summit,” will take place on Thursday, July 10, at 7:00 p.m. ET in the Seminole Ballroom at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida.
McGregor won’t be the only name drawing attention. The lineup includes the likes of Mike Perry, Ben Rothwell, John Dodson and Christine Ferea, along with a host of other champions.
Austin Trout was also set to be part of the lineup, though he has since vacated his BKFC title. According to a BKFC press release, McGregor’s upcoming announcement is described as “groundbreaking” and is expected to shape the organization’s calendar for the remainder of 2025.

It’s possible McGregor will reveal details about BKFC’s upcoming super-card – something Feldman had alluded to back in June. There’s also buzz around the organization’s talks with McGregor’s long-time rival, Nate Diaz, who is currently a free agent.
In addition, Feldman has already confirmed a four-man lightweight tournament is in the works. The press conference will be streamed live on the BKFC YouTube channel.
Austin Trout vacates BKFC welterweight title
Recently, a BKFC official confirmed Trout vacated the welterweight title, while Gorjan ‘GoGo’ Slaveski and Julian Lane are set to fight for the vacant belt in the main event of BKFC Sturgis.
Trout is considered the ‘Bo Jackson of combat sports’ for winning world titles in two sports, just as Jackson was an all-star in both football and baseball.
The former WBA champion has been undefeated in bareknuckle boxing, posting a 4-0 record with wins over former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ winner Diego Sanchez and titleholder Luis Palomino.
