Conor McGregor has released new footage from his training camp as he gets ready for his UFC return.

The former two-division champion is back training at SBG Ireland with coach John Kavanagh, and has also built a gym at his home just outside Dublin, where he brings in sparring partners and coaches to tailor his preparation.

McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. He was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler in the summer of 2024 but had to withdraw due to a broken toe. Now, he’s hoping to make his comeback at the UFC White House event this June.

Conor McGregor has released a video from his training camp, showcasing his preparation ahead of his UFC return. He’s calling this one ‘100 per cent Conor McGregor’, and the clip features him working with a range of different training partners.

He can be heard telling coach Julian Dalby: “This is going to be one hell of a camp boys. I’m going to get seriously f—ing way better this camp… Keep calm and wallop people.” The footage also shows him embracing SBG coach Dave Roche and fist-bumping Kavanagh.

The video includes more than just clips of him working on drills – it shows extended periods of sparring with several teammates. At one point, McGregor drops an opponent, then later asks someone: “Am I throwing rockets? These are missiles.”

He continued: “We’re going in here 100 per cent. I’m going into this 100 per cent Conor McGregor. Not 92, 100 per cent Conor McGregor so it has to be really meticulous.”

“We were right there with the last one,” he said. “As a unit, we do it.”

Conor McGregor’s new sparring footage sparks mixed reactions from fans

McGregor’s latest training video has sparked a wide range of reactions, with supporters and critics both weighing in. Some long-time fans were quick to back him, feeling that the footage showed he’s serious about getting back into top form.

“Ahhh mate he’s f—ing back man, physically and mentally he’s back,” one excited fan wrote. “I can’t f—ing wait, I been praying for this for YEARS!” Another added: “Can’t wait! Nothing in the world like a McGregor fight.”

Others were less convinced, taking aim at his gym setup. One fan joked: “Bro walked into the afternoon class at SBG and started throwing liver shots at the regulars.”

Another offered advice: “Champ, honest advice. I think you should do the camp somewhere else. I know you’re loyal, but many top gyms would be excited to work with you.”
