Conor McGregor expects Jake Paul to be a very different man when he walks out of the ring this night.
For years, Paul has been fighting opponents who were either much smaller or older, but that is not the case this time. At 36, Joshua is still active at the top of the division, and there is no question about the challenge in front of him.
Originally, Joshua had planned a quiet comeback fight this month but decided instead to take a short-notice opportunity with Netflix to face ‘The Problem Child’ in America. McGregor does not see this going well for Paul and thinks AJ could do some serious damage.
Conor McGregor’s latest bet raises concerns for Jake Paul

‘The Notorious’ got fans talking on Thursday, when he posted on X about betting $10 on Anthony Joshua to knock out Jake Paul within the first 60 seconds. But despite his confidence in Joshua, he has not placed any bets yet.
The post, which was part of a promotion for a betting company, read: “I have set the odds for Anthony Joshua to KO Jake Paul inside the first 60 seconds at 11/1.”
Although he mentioned a $10 bet, he later clarified to fans who questioned the small stake that it was merely to highlight the extremely high odds of that outcome.
“I have not placed my own personal bet on this match yet I have only just set the odds. I do like ‘KO in first 60 seconds’ at 11/1 tho. It’s now about how much / what else? A colossal sum on an outright win is good too. $5m would return win $5.6m.”
He also added: “This is an absolute layup fight. It is not fixed also I know Matchroom. Jake is stupid and will be altered permanently from this bout. I can’t just sit idly by and watch it happen without making a cool profit from it too.”
The mention of just a minute being enough time raised some eyebrows, but McGregor pointed back to some of his own rapid finishes in MMA to endorse his point.
“I done Cowboy [Donald Cerrone] in 40 seconds. Dustin in 60. Aldo in 12. All reputable, known, world and world title challengers.
“Cowboy was taller and heavier than me also. I knew his shots, his reactions, and his mentality. Paul is lighter, shorter and green baby s— in this business compared to AJ. 60 seconds is AMPLE TIME FOR AJ. 11/1 actually has me scared.
“I am now setting odds for these fights against my own company capital. Vs betting to win as before. It is peculiar and unfamiliar territory I am now in. Either way though, it’s f—ing awesome! Lol,” he concluded.
