Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Conor Gallagher from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
What’s the story?
The Sun are reporting that Chelsea will allow midfielder Gallagher to leave on loan this summer.
However, the 2021 Champions League winners do not want to sell the 21-year-old.
Newcastle and Palace are keen on signing the former West Bromwich Albion loanee on loan for the 2021-22 season.
Good signing for Newcastle United?
Gallagher is a very good and promising young midfielder who has done well during his loan spells at Charlton Athletic, Swansea City and West Brom.
The England Under-21 international scored two goals and gave two assists in 30 Premier League games for the Baggies last season.

The 21-year-old is a dynamic central midfielder who can also operate on the right or in a more attacking role.
The youngster would make Newcastle a better team and would make the Magpies stronger in the middle of the park.
Birmingham City manager Lee Bowyer worked with Gallagher at Charlton, and told talkSPORT in October 2019 that “his willingness and work rate are unreal”.
Chelsea have a strong midfield department, and it would be hard for the English youngster to play regularly for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
