The West Ham United youngster has put pen to paper on his first professional deal.
West Ham United teenager Conor Coventry has been speaking to the club’s official website after he signed a new contract at the club.
The 17-year-old central midfielder has featured 20 times for the Hammers’ under-18 side to date, providing three assists in the process, and he scored on his only appearance for the under-23 side this season, in a 2-0 victory against Fulham.

Coventry will know he has a long road ahead of him before he is challenging for a first-team spot at the London Stadium, but he has explained what West Ham fans can expect when they do finally see him in action.
“I think I’m a good all-round midfielder and I like to tackle, pass and do a bit of everything,” Coventry told whufc.com.
“I just try to make sure I’m good in all areas of the pitch and my game.”

West Ham have some of the best young academy players in the country right now and the future looks increasingly bright for Slaven Bilic’s side.
There is still work to be done in terms of the senior squad, with this summer key when it comes to recruitment. However, Coventry’s professional deal means he will now be pushing ahead with the likes of Domingos Quina, Nathan Holland, Reece Oxford and Toni Martinez for first-team recognition next season and beyond.
