Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has admitted to the Daily Mail that Liverpool fans are pestering him for tickets for Sunday’s game at Anfield.

Liverpool may be focused on their Champions League clash with Barcelona tonight, but face ending the season trophy-less after Manchester City’s win on Monday.

The Reds won yet again on Saturday, beating Newcastle United 3-2 at St James’ Park, but then had to watch City scrape a 1-0 win over Leicester City on Monday night thanks to a once in a lifetime strike from Vincent Kompany.

Trailing 3-0 to Barcelona from their first leg, Liverpool may now end the season without a trophy, but must still push on the final day of the Premier League season just in case City slip up at Brighton.

Liverpool host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in their final game of the season, and with Wolves having already tied up seventh place, the visitors don’t have tons to play for.

It will be a particularly important game for Coady though, as the ex-Liverpool youngster and die-hard Reds fans will be returning to Anfield to take on his boyhood club.

Coady has now admitted that Liverpool fans are pestering him for tickets and suggesting that he should do the Reds a favour on Sunday as they desperately chase City.

Coady added that whilst he supports Liverpool, he’ll be looking to end the season with a win for Wolves, with no favours in store for Liverpool as he attempts to figure out how to get so many tickets for the game.

“My mates are all Liverpool season ticket holders, they keep saying things to me about it,” said Coady. “Everybody knows I supported Liverpool growing up but I’m playing for Wolves now. We go there full of confidence and hopefully to get the win. We’re playing good stuff and want to end the season on a high. Every other week I look at Liverpool and hope they win games. But I play for Wolves and no matter who we are against we’re going there with the mentality to win.”

“Millions,” Coady added when asked how many tickets he’s been asked for. I don’t know how I’m going to do it to be honest,” he added.
