Wolves skipper Conor Coady spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 1-0 win away at West Ham on Saturday, and admitted that he and his teammates would have been devastated has they left east London without a victory.

Wolves’ win came just at the right time, with the two-week international break looming large, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side now sit comfortably in 11th spot in the Premier League table.

The Black Country outfit dominated the game for large portions against Manuel Pellegrini’s side, and should have arguably already been two or three goals up when Adama Traore notched the winner in injury time.

Coady spoke to reporters after the game, and raved about his team’s display at the London Stadium, suggesting that they would have been devastated not to win the game, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“I thought we played fantastically well, we moved the ball really well and created chances against a really good team at a tough place to go. We’d have been devastated if we hadn’t come away with the win so that was special for the boys.”

Next up for Wolves is a home clash with Burnley in two week’s time, and Nuno’s men will be expected to win against Sean Dyche’s struggling Clarets side.
