The Mexican has been in excellent form for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season.
Wolves ace Conor Coady spoke to reporters after his side’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday, and admitted that he is desperate for Raul Jimenez to remain at Molineux beyond his season-long loan, as quoted by the Shropshire Star.
The 27-year-old has been a real hit with Wolves, since joining the Black Country outfit on loan from Benfica last summer, and he has racked up an impressive 11 goals and six assists in 30 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Wolves have enjoyed a successful Premier League campaign thus far, and they currently sit in eighth spot in the table, behind seventh placed Watford due to an inferior goal difference.
And Jimenez has played a huge part in their success.
Coady raved about the Mexican, when speaking to reporters on Saturday, suggesting that Wolves should do all that they can to make his move to Molineux a permanent one at the end of the season, as quoted by the Shropshire Star:
“He’s been huge for us. He’s a brilliant footballer and at the same time he’s a fantastic person. He’s a fantastic character to have around and you see how confident he is on the pitch at the minute, it’s an absolute pleasure to play with him. Long may it continue for Wolves. We want to keep him here for many, many years. The two clubs will come to a decision, we want him here.”
Next up for Wolves is a trip to Huddersfield Town tomorrow night, and Jimenez will be keen to help his team move back inside the top seven by continuing his fine goalscoring form.
