Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has revealed to the Express and Star that the side found out Raul Jimenez was onside when he put the ball into the back of the net against Tottenham Hotspur at half-time.

Wolves went into the break 2-0 down against Spurs, and the sense of injustice grew at half-time.

Jimenez had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside just before the break

And Coady said: “We found out at half-time (that it wasn’t offside) and it’s disappointing when that happens, when you’re playing a team like Spurs you need everything to go with you.

“You don’t need those breaks. It’s tough anyway and when the officials make a bad decision like that it gets even harder.”

Things actually got worse for Wolves after the break, as Harry Kane’s goal put Tottenham 3-0 up in the contest.

However, Nuno’s side showed their fighting spirit to make a real game of it late on.
