Conor Benn’s situation continues to generate attention as tensions grow between the British boxer and promoter Eddie Hearn. Their once close relationship has taken a sharp turn in recent months.
The fallout began when Benn left Matchroom Boxing to sign with Zuffa Boxing, Dana White’s new promotion. Hearn was said to be ‘devastated’ by how the split unfolded.
Since then, both sides have exchanged comments publicly, with the latest dispute centred around claims Hearn financially supported ‘The Destroyer’ during his 2022 legal battle.
Conor Benn denies Eddie Hearn’s loan amid legal battle

Hearn had suggested he lent Benn a huge amount to help cover legal costs following his failed drug test.
According to the Daily Mail, the numbers were close to £500,000, an amount around $660,000. However, the fighter has firmly rejected that version of events.
Speaking to Gary Neville on The Overlap, the 29-year-old boxer made his position clear.
“And guess who it all fell on? Me. It all fell on me. No one paid my legal bills,” he began by saying.
Neville then responded by referencing Hearn’s financial support claim, prompting Benn to deliver a blunt denial.
He added: “He didn’t lend me a cent. I paid the legal bills 100% myself. No one paid my legal bills. No one called up and checked to see if I got food on the table.
“I had to do that myself. And that’s a big part of the reason as to why no one’s going to defend you.”
Conor Benn prepares for Regis Prograis clash amid recent speculation
Away from the controversy, Benn is set to return to the ring on April 11 against Regis Prograis on the Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov card.
The bout will see Benn face the former super lightweight world champion at a 150lbs catchweight, marking another key step in his career.
Recent rumours suggested Prograis could withdraw due to fitness concerns, casting doubt over the fight.
However, the American quickly dismissed those claims on social media, insisting the bout remains on track.
