Conor Benn has addressed the fallout from his high-profile move away from Matchroom Boxing.
The British fighter recently signed a $15 million deal with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing, backed by Turki Alalshikh.
His departure marked a major shift after years under Eddie Hearn’s promotion.
The British promoter has openly expressed his disappointment over Benn’s decision, and the fighter stated ‘The Destroyer’ has no hard feelings towards him.
However, he also does not feel indebted.

Benn initially struck a conciliatory tone earlier this week, stating he still “got love” for Matchroom and Hearn.
However, his latest comments present a firmer stance on the situation.
Asked whether he feels he owes something to Hearn and his promotion, he said (via IFL TV): “No, I don’t. I don’t feel like I owe anybody anything. I use my dad’s career as a benchmark. Who checks for him now? Who pays his bills? I owe my family and my son a good life.”
The remarks underline Benn’s focus on personal and financial priorities.
His father, Nigel Benn, was a major figure in British boxing, but his career also serves as a cautionary example for ‘The Destroyer’.
Benn appears determined to maximise his opportunities while he remains active.
He is now preparing for his next bout against Regis Prograis on 11 April, which will take place on a major card headlined by Tyson Fury against Arslanbek Makhmudov.
The event is set to be broadcast on Netflix, adding further visibility to Benn’s new chapter.
