Wolverhampton Wanderers duo Connor Ronan and Connor Johnson are both on loan spells with Walsall currently.
Ronan and Johnson both left Molineux to join the League One side on loan at the end of the summer transfer window.
And they found out that Walsall wanted them both at the last minute, after Ronan messaged his Wolves teammate.
“He texted me on deadline day to see if I had anything going on,” Ronan said.
“I told him I had interest from Walsall, he said he had the same and that hopefully, we’d both get the deal sorted.”
The Wolves pair are both still really waiting to get going at Walsall, as they have just one appearance to their name for the Saddlers so far.
Both Ronan and Johnson were selected by Dean Keates to play in Walsall’s Checkatrade Trophy match with Burton Albion, where they helped their new side win 2-1.
Wolves will be keeping close tabs on Ronan in particular during his time at the Bescot, as the youngster enjoyed an impressive pre-season at Molineux.
Ronan caught the eye through his performances in Wolves’ senior side, and there are high hopes for him back at his parent club.
