The Blues winger, on loan from Bournemouth, was impressive against Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites at St Andrew’s in the Championship.

Despite going into Saturday’s Championship fixture amid a losing run and off-the-pitch issues, Birmingham City overcame the odds to secure a 1-0 win over title challengers Leeds United at St Andrew’s, doing the double over Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the process.
Garry Monk’s charges had lost their previous five games in the league, on top of suffering a points deduction which knocked them dangerously close to the bottom three, while the Whites came to the West Midlands hoping to consolidate their top-two spot.
However, Birmingham went on to take the lead just before the half hour mark when the impressive Che Adams let rip from outside the area for his 22nd goal of the season and third in two games against Leeds.
Birmingham did find themselves having to repel numerous dangerous attacks from the Yorkshire side, especially in the second half, but they held out for a superb victory which keeps them five points clear of the Championship’s relegation zone.
Connor Mahoney, on loan at Birmingham from Bournemouth, took to Twitter after the game to post a message, and needless to say some fans were appreciative of what he had to say:
