Joe Worrall is on loan at Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers from Nottingham Forest.
Joe Worrall of Rangers
Worrall joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Forest in the Championship in England in the summer of 2018.
The 22-year-old central defender has made 19 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Rangers centre-back Goldson – who joined the Gers from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £3 million – wants Worrall to be at Ibrox next season as well.
Goldson told The Scottish Sun about Worrall: “I hope Joe Worrall comes back for another season.”
The Rangers defender: “Joe has enjoyed himself here, he’s played a lot of games and done well. We know Nottingham Forest are his parent club and he’s said in the past he wants to go back there.
“If Joe stays it would be good, but if he doesn’t then Rangers will move on. This is a big club and we will move forward.”

Future at Nottingham Forest or Rangers?
Worrall has done relatively well at Rangers so far this season, and it would not be a bad idea for the defender if he is back at Ibrox for the 2019-20 campaign.
However, Forest could have plans and need for the youngster next season, and the 22-year-old is at the age where it is going to be crucial for him to establish himself in the Reds’ starting lineup.
