Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants Jake Cooper at Ibrox, and new Gers defender Connor Goldson seems open to the idea.

According to The Daily Mail, Rangers are interested in signing central defender Cooper from Millwall in the summer transfer window.
The Gers have already secured the signings of centre-backs Goldson and Nikola Katic this summer.
Goldson joined Rangers from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Daily Record to be worth £3 million.
The 25-year-old centre-back has welcomed the prospect of 23-year-old former Reading defender arriving at Rangers this summer.
Goldson told Herald Scotland regarding the potential signing of Cooper: “Every squad needs competition and every squad needs depth in every position.
“If there are injuries or suspensions then you need players that can step in and go and win games of football for this club. Competitiveness can only help us push on.”

Healthy competition
With Rangers aiming to qualify for the group stage of the Europa League as well as challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season, the Gers do need healthy competition for places.
The defence was an issue for the Gers last season, and new Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard has to address that this summer.
