Steven Gerrard’s side got the better of Neil Lennon’s Celtic 2-0 at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby last weekend.
The win saw the Gers close the gap on the Hoops to six points, although Celtic had already won the Scottish Premiership title and the Ibrox club had secured the second spot.
Rangers defender Goldson – who joined the Gers from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £3 million – has revealed what he and his teammates were speaking to each other amid the celebrations.
Goldson told The Scottish Sun: “Along with the manager, I came here to bring silverware back to the club. We know how much the fans are craving it.
“You look at Sunday, the Old Firm win and the fans cheering after the game. We said to each other, ‘Can you imagine what it would be like if we actually do go and win something?’ Imagine what the fans would be like then.
“So that’s our next aim, what we need to push for. We know what it would mean to bring silverware back here.”

Challenging Celtic next season
Rangers have progressed under manager Gerrard, and there is no doubt that the Gers are in a better place now than they were this time last year.
If the Gers make a few good signings in the summer transfer window, then they will be able to challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
