Wes Foderingham has only managed three games for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers since October.
Connor Goldson has praised Rangers team-mate Wes Foderingham, after his brief run in the side.
The Rangers goalkeeper was endured a frustrating fourth season at Ibrox, finding himself firmly behind Allan McGregor in Steven Gerrard’s pecking order.
But the Englishman did come back into the first XI last month after McGregor was slapped with a two-game ban, and kept clean sheets against Kilmarnock and St Johnstone.
The 28-year-old, who joined the Gers under Mark Warburton in 2015, was nothing short of exceptional in the 0-0 draw with the Saints, but McGregor has since displaced him since returning from suspension.
But Goldson, a £3 million signing from last summer [The Record], hasn’t overlooked Foderingham’s contribution when talking about the light Blues’ clean sheet record lately.
He told Rangers’ podcast, via their official website: “It’s unbelievable to have Greegsy behind us. We’ve kept clean sheets recently, and with Wes to be fair.
“Wes has done brilliant since coming in.”
Foderingham, who has played three games since October, is clearly a very gifted second-in-command but he might be tempted to quit Rangers this summer.
Based on this season, McGregor, who turned 37 in January, still has some years left and if it looks like he’ll be stuck behind the Scot again next term, the former Swindon man should leave.
