Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours that Wolves may be forced to sell Adama Traore amid rumoured interest in his services.

The Mirror have claimed that Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been told that he may need to sell Traore in order to raise funds, with Liverpool and Manchester City waiting in the wings.

There are sections of Liverpool fans who acknowledge that Traore is a top-quality talent and he would be a very useful addition to their squad.

But there are some who are uneasy at the thought of paying the big-money fee being touted for his services – as a result, they are backing their wealthy rivals from Manchester to take serious action instead.

It has to be remembered that if the Premier League champions were to buy Traore then he would start off as a bench player, and given the quality in Jurgen Klopp’s front line, it would more than likely remain like that.

Therefore, there’s not much point spending vasts amounts of money for a player who would more or less play second fiddle to the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

Liverpool’s trophies under Jurgen Klopp

  1. Champions League

    2018/19

  2. UEFA Super Cup

    2019

  3. FIFA Club World Cup

    2019

  4. Premier League

    2019/20

Traore would no doubt add more bite and speed to Liverpool’s already fearsome forward line. He was perhaps the most improved player in the Premier League last season and he would become even more dangerous under the stewardship of Jurgen Klopp.

The former Barcelona man has a combination of speed and power which not many players possess, and as the Wolves fans are seeing, if he can be consistent in the final third then he would give many defenders sleepless nights.

His ability to pick the ball up from deep, then use his close control to get out of a tight situation and then drive into the final third is a joy to watch, and a type of action which would be welcomed at Anfield if they can pull a deal off.

Here is a selection of Liverpool fans on Twitter reacting to those Traore rumours:
