Tottenham Hotspur fans think that Leon Bailey will end up signing for Everton.
Sky have claimed that Tottenham and Everton want to sign Bailey, with the player keen on a Premier League switch.
But Tottenham supporters have no confidence that they will win the race, and they fully expect the £40 million man to end up at Goodison Park.
Who should sign Bailey?
Tottenham do have good options out wide, with the likes of Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn, Heung-Min Son and Erik Lamela already at the club.
If Tottenham do now go out and spend a sizeable chunk of their remaining budget on a winger it will be a hugely questionable move.
While Bailey is a talent he simply isn’t a totally necessary signing, and Jose Mourinho’s side’s need to find more cover for Harry Kane is surely more urgent.
Everton, meanwhile, have invested heavily in their midfield, but may want to add another option to their attack.
Everton have already beaten Tottenham on the pitch, and if they were now to land Bailey ahead of them, it could help them to take another step closer to breaking into the top six.
