Conflicting reports are emerging about Everton’s pursuit of Yerry Mina.

Everton have now made it three summer signings, but fans hoping for news on the club’s pursuit of Barcelona’s Yerry Mina may have been left confused.
Arsenal goalkeeper Joao Virginia became Everton’s third signing of the summer on Friday, following Barcelona’s Lucas Digne and Watford’s Richarlison to Goodison Park.
Yet the addition of a centre back remains vital, especially after allowing Ashley Williams to join Stoke City, and Barcelona’s Yerry Mina has been their top target.
The 23-year-old has struggled to make an impression at Barcelona since his January move from Palmeiras in Brazil, but he has attracted great interest off the back of three goals in three games for Colombia at the World Cup – though his defending remains a little rough around the edges.
Everton have been pursuing Mina for some time, but confusion surrounds a move after conflicting reports over the weekend. Goal claimed that Everton have pulled their offer to Mina having become frustrated with his stalling, but SPORT in Catalunya report that a €32million (£28.5million) move is now on the verge of completion.
Of course, both versions of the situation could be true; Everton may have become frustrated with Mina, with their threat of pulling their offer prompting him to stop stalling and finally agree to sign a five-year deal with the club, which is what Sport claim is imminent.

One club who should be keeping tabs on the situation is Tottenham, after The Sun claimed that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are keen to bring the Barcelona defender to North London before the deadline.
If Everton do back away from Mina, then he could be ideal to replace Toby Alderweireld ahead of his possible move to Manchester United, with The Mirror reporting that a deal is close on that front.
Depending on whether Goal or SPORT are correct, Tottenham may still have a shot at signing Mina and reuniting him with Colombian international centre back partner Davinson Sanchez, and they should be at least considering a move to swoop in to finally hand Mauricio Pochettino a first signing of the summer.
