Spurs are interested in signing the Brazilian winger but there is some discrepancy over PSG’s asking price.

Lucas Moura #7 of Paris Saint-Germain tries to break away from Radja Nainggolan #4 of AS Roma during the second half at Comerica Park on July 19, 2017 in Detroit, Michigan.

The London Evening Standard are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur would be unwilling to pay Paris Saint-Germain’s £35m asking price to sign Lucas Moura this month.

However, Sky Sports understands that the Ligue 1 champions would be happy to take £23m for the Brazilian, as they need to sell to comply with financial fair play regulations.

Spurs will hope that the Sky have their numbers right as that might put Moura in their range.

It appears as though Mauricio Pochettino is looking to add a pacey winger to his squad, and he has also been touted with an interest in Malcolm of Bordeaux, Standard Sport reports.

Lucas would fit the bill perfectly, as he is a direct runner who is full of speed and skill, and offers a proven scoring threat with 46 goals – and 50 assists – in 229 appearances for PSG.

The additions of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar to PSG’s forward line has reduced the 25-year-old’s opportunities in France, and he has only made six appearances this campaign.

Sky Sports claim that Moura’s preferred destination would be the Premier League, but that Valencia, Napoli and Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng Taishan are all circling.

If the £23m valuation is correct, Spurs appear to be in the box seat, but if PSG are indeed after £35m, the famously stringent Lilywhites face being outbid from one of the above the teams.
