Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing what Romelu Lukaku said about Selhurst Park.
What’s the story?
Well, the £97.5m man was speaking to the media at length for the first time since his club-record return to Chelsea was confirmed.
When the topic of stadiums arose, Lukaku had some kinds words to say about the home of Crystal Palace, Selhurst Park.
As quoted by Football London, the 28-year-old said: “I like Selhurst Park! It’s a nice environment. It’s the only stadium in England like European style. I like it! I’ve scored a few goals there too.”
What a compliment.
For a player of Lukaku’s experience to say there isn’t a stadium in England like Selhurst Park speaks volumes.
The Homesdale Fanatics have strived to create a unique atmosphere in Crystal Palace’s corner of SE25, and it seems to be working.
Crystal Palace must be sick of Lukaku

No wonder the Belgian likes Selhurst Park – he almost always scores there!
Of all the teams Lukaku has faced, only three clubs have conceded more goals to him than Crystal Palace.
In 12 games against the south Londoners, Chelsea’s No.9 has scored an impressive eight goals.

Lukaku has been on the winning side in five of those 12 games.
Luckily for Patrick Vieira, he’ll only have to face the prolific forward once this season, after Lukaku missed Chelsea’s 3-0 win over the Eagles on Saturday.
For now, let’s see how the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter reacted to Lukaku’s comments…
