Confirmed West Ham v Arsenal lineups: Fletcher starts, Carroll on the bench

West Ham United host Arsenal at the London Stadium this evening…

The Hammers are looking for just a third league win at their new home as they take on Arsenal this evening, and will want a response having been hammered 4-1 by Manchester United in their midweek EFL Cup tie.

Slaven Bilic rested a number of players for that game, and whilst he’s without the injured Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio having picked up knocks in that game, he’s been able to recall the likes of Manuel Lanzini and Mark Noble.

With no Cheikhou Kouyate, it’s a back three of James Collins, Winston Reid and Havard Nordtveit, with Edimilson Fernandes and Arthur Masuaku in as wing backs.

Noble will play alongside Pedro Obiang in the centre of midfield, with Lanzini and Dimitri Payet supporting lone striker Ashley Fletcher, who scored in that EFL Cup tie against Manchester United.

There’s a return for Andy Carroll on the bench alongside the likes of Andre Ayew, Sofiane Feghouli and Simone Zaza as Bilic goes with a number of attack-minded substitutes, whilst Adrian, Alvaro Arbeloa and Havard Nordtveit are also available.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s carousel of right backs continues, as Gabriel Paulista starts with both Hector Bellerin and Mathieu Debuchy out injured, whilst Carl Jenkinson is out of the squad entirely.

Laurent Koscielny starts alongside Shkodran Mustafi at centre back with Nacho Monreal on the left hand side of defence, with Francis Coquelin and Grant Xhaka in front of the back four.

Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will support lone striker Alexis Sanchez, with no place in the squad for the injured Olivier Giroud.

The likes of Aaron Ramsey, Alex Iwobi and Lucas Perez are all on the bench, joining David Ospina, Kieran Gibbs, Rob Holding and Mohamed Elneny.
