Confirmed West Ham v Accrington line-ups: Bilic hands debuts to two summer signings

West Ham United host Accrington Stanley in the EFL Cup this evening.

West Ham United host League Two side Accrington Stanley in the EFL Cup at the London Stadium this evening.

The Hammers need a result after losing their last two games 4-2, with Slaven Bilic desperate to see a response after Saturday’s defeat to West Brom.

Tonight, Bilic has rotated his squad, and there are debuts for summer signings Alvaro Arbeloa and Edimilson Fernandes this evening as they start at right back and in midfield respectively.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph comes in for Adrian, whilst Havard Nordtveit is moved into centre back alongside Angelo Ogbonna and Arthur Masuaku.

Fernandes forms a midfield partnership with Pedro Obiang, whilst Gokhan Tore and Sofiane Feghouli start out wide, with Jonathan Calleri joining Simone Zaza in attack.

There are places on the bench for Reece Oxford and Ashley Fletcher, alongside the likes of Dimitri Payet, Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio.

Accrington are able to call upon star striker Billy Kee, whilst former Aston Villa youngsters Elliot Parish and Janoi Donacien both start along with Blackburn Rovers loanee John O’Sullivan.

On the bench, manager John Coleman has veterans Terry Gornell and Romauld Boco available, as well as former Manchester United, Burnley and Bolton Wanderers winger Chris Eagles.

Stanley aren’t expected to cause West Ham too many problems, but given the defensive problems that Bilic has seen in the last few games, the Lancastrians will hope to pile on the misery.
