Here is how West Ham United will line up for their match against Peterborough this afternoon:
West Ham starting XI: Adrian, Reid, Cresswell, Collins, Pike, Nolan, Obiang, Samuelson, Noble, Maiga, Sakho
West Ham subs: Howes, Hendrie, Parfitt-Williams, Pask, Mavila, Gordon, Makasi, Nasha, Knoyle, Henry
West Ham United’s competitive campaign may have already kicked off but that does not mean their pre-season friendlies will not still play a vital part in their summer preparations.
The Hammers’ participation in the Europa League means they have started things early this year, with a young side defeating Andorran club Lusitanos 4-0 on aggregate in the first qualifying round.
The club won 3-0 in the first leg and 1-0 at home as Slaven Bilic took charge for the first time since being appointed as manager.
West Ham’s next European tie is against Birkirkara FC with the first leg at Upton Park next week but before that there is a chance for some of West Ham’s first-team stars to get some much needed fitness under their belts with the clash against Peterborough.
Other friendlies to taking place later this summer will see West Ham face Southend United, Colchester United, Charlton Athletic and Norwich City.
