West Bromwich Albion desperately need three points today in a bid to stay in the Premier League, and face a West Ham side who are all but safe from relegation.
Pepe Mel’s side were beaten by Manchester City on Monday night, leaving the Baggies just three points clear of danger with games running out.
They have home comforts today though – which may not be the blessing it appears. Mel is yet to win at The Hawthorns, drawing six games and losing once – and there points today would be ideal.
But Sam Allardyce’s West Ham will be looking to finish the season strongly after hauling themselves away from danger since the turn of the year, and will be attempting to bounce back from defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend.
Six defeats in their last eight games doesn’t bode well for The Hammers though, and with three losses in their last four away games, today may be Mel’s best chance of notching that first home win.
