Confirmed West Brom v Liverpool lineups: Firmino starts, Sturridge on the bench

West Bromwich Albion host Liverpool in the Premier League this afternoon.

West Brom head into today’s game having lost 1-0 at home to Southampton last week, and Tony Pulis will be hoping to see his side bounce back this afternoon.

The Baggies have taken just one point from the last three games, having failed to build on their 3-1 home win over Arsenal before the international break.

Today, Pulis will be hoping to frustrate another Champions League hopeful, and he has gone with a back four of Craig Dawson, Jonny Evans, Gareth McAuley and Chris Brunt.

Jake Livermore, Darren Fletcher and Claudio Yacob all start in midfield, with Matt Phillips and Nacer Chadli called upon to support lone striker Hal Robson-Kanu from wide areas.

Salomon Rondon is only on the bench as his goal drought reaches four months, and he is joined on the bench by Boaz Myhill, Allan Nyom, Marc Wilson, James Morrison, Sam Field and James McClean.

Meanwhile, Liverpool face another tricky away day having come through last weekend’s game with Stoke City with a 2-1 win, following the half time introductions of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.

Jurgen Klopp goes with a back four of Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and James Milner, with Lucas Leiva shielding them in holding midfield.

Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum will support the front three of Coutinho, Firmino and Divock Origi, with the two Brazilians unsurprisingly starting this time around.

Daniel Sturridge is only on the bench, as he has become all too familiar with, along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Ben Woodburn, Marko Grujic, Alberto Moreno and Loris Karius.
